The CSIR UGC NET Exam, also known as the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test, is a national-level test conducted twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges. The exam is conducted in five science subjects: Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth Sciences.
