Human Endocrine Glands And Their Hormones

Endocrine glands are the ductless glands which pour their secretions directly into the bloodstream. secretions are called as Hormones. human endocrine system consists of various glands like pituitary and pineal on head, adrenal gland, pancreas, testis (in male) and overy (in female), thyroid and thymus.

Endocrine glands are the ductless glands which pour their secretions directly into the bloodstream. Secretions are called as Hormones. The human endocrine system consists of major glands like the pituitary, pineal, adrenal gland, pancreas, testis (in the male), and ovary (in female), thyroid, and thymus. Here is the list of the major endocrine glands and their hormones.

i) Growth hormone (GH)
ii) Prolactin
iii) Thyrotropic Hormone (TSH)
iv) Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
v) Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
vi) Adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH)

5. Adrenal or suprarenal gland
i) Glucocorticoids i.e cortisone
ii) Mineralocorticoids i.e aldosterone

i) Glucagon

iii) somatostatin
7. Testis
