Eligibility:

Age Limit: 18-32 years (Relaxations for reserved categories apply)
Educational Qualification: Graduation degree from a recognized university.

Selection Process:

Tier-1 Online Exam: Objective type, multiple-choice questions covering Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language, and Computer Proficiency.
Tier-2 Online Exam: Depending on the post applied for, this may consist of English Language & Literature, Statistics, Finance & Accounts, Economics & Management, etc.

SSC CGL Exam Structure

The SSC CGL exam is conducted in three tiers:

  • Tier 2: This online computer-based exam exam is conducted in three separate papers, depending on the post
    applied for.

    • Paper 1: Common to all posts, testing candidates on mathematics, reasoning, English language, general
      awareness, and computer knowledge.

    • Paper 2: Only for candidates applying for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) posts, testing their knowledge
      of statistics.

    • Paper 3: Only for candidates applying for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer posts,
      testing their knowledge of finance and economics.

  • Tier 3: This is a skill test specific to the post applied for, such as typing, stenography, or
    data entry.
