Sterilisation is the process of complete destruction of all microorganisms present in a system. the products free from the microorganisms called "sterile products".
Methods of sterilization can be divided into three main groups. 1. Physical method - Dry heat, moist heat, radiation (UV rays, ionization) sterilization. 2. Chemical methods : (bactericides, gaseous sterilization) 3. mechanical methods : (bacteria proof filters i.e ceramic filters, Seitz filter, sintered glass filter, membrane filter)
