One who completed this degree is awarded as Doctor (Dr.) Prefix in his/her name and can practice in any hospital and hadathacare body as a general physician, resident doctor and also can go for the masters (pg) in surgery. The admission in this course is purely on merit basis on all colleges based on a national level entrance examination NEET or individual entrance exams for few institutions like AIIMS,BHU etc..
