(Q.33) choose the pair which shows similar relationship that the given pair shows.
Q10. How many 6's are there in the following number series which are preceded by 5 but not followed by 7?<br> 5 6 7 6 5 6 4 9 2 7 6 7 4 3 5 6 8 6 4 9 5 6 7
Q11. R is the sister of Q, S is the sister of R, P is the brother of Q. How is Q related to S?
As R is the sister of Q, S is the sister of R, P is the brother of Q. Therefore, Q is related to S as brother or sister.
Q12. Four year ago Ashoka was six years older than Ravi. What is the difference of their ages now?
This is the logical question. Everything their age difference will be same ... but we should calculate this like this if asked about the present age...
Let four years ago Ravi's age = x years
Four years ago Ashoka's age = x+6 years.
Present age of Ravi = (x+4) years
Present age of Ashoka = (x + 6 +4) years.
So difference of their ages = x + 10 - x - 4 = 6 years.
Q13. Which of the numbers would be filled in the blank space?
Mathematical Ability Test
in such questions first of all it is found by which rule the numbers are filled. it is found that the numbers in the third square from the left is the sum of the first square and twice of the second square from the left.
as 8 ⨉ 2  + 4 = 20,
     2  ⨉ 3 + 9 = 15,
  ∴ Req. number =  2 ⨉ 6 + 6 = 18 ,
hence the correct answer is option (C) 18.
Q14. Four different positions of a dice are shown below. How many dots will be on the face opposite to the face which contains one dot?
From the first and second positions, it is found that the adjacent faces to the face containing point 1 have points 2,3 and 5. From the second position, it is also found that the face opposite to the face which contains point 1, should be adjacent to the faces containing points 2 and 5. From the third position, it is clear that the adjacent face to the faces containing points 2 and 5, contains point 6. Therefore the face opposite to the face containing point 1 must have 6 points.
Q15. If the 3rd of the month falls on Friday, what day will be on the 4th day after the 21st of the month?
Time sequence test
The fourth day after the 21st of the month will be the 25th of the month. From 3rd to 25th excluding 3rd there will be 22 days. If 22 is divided by 7 the reminder will be 1. Hence 1 day after friday, it will be Saturday.
Q16. If in each number the first and the third digits are interchanged then which number will be the highest ?
This question (Q.16) is based on the following set of numbers -
319      869      742      593      268
319      869      742      593      268
After exchanging 1st and third digit of each number
913      968      247      395      862
Q17. If all numbers are arranged in descending order, what will be the difference between the second digit of third number and third digit of second number?
This question (Q.17) is based on the following set of numbers -
319      869      742      593      268
After arranging in descending order
869      742      593      319      268
The third digit of the second number = 2,
The second digit of the third number = 9,
hence, the Required difference is 9 - 2 = 7.
Q18. If all the numbers in the above arrangement are dropped, which of the following will be the ninth from the right end?
(Q.18 - 19) Study the following arrangement carefully and answer the questions -
R # T U 3 D $ J @ B E 9 © W 1 A F % P 2 4 Q I N 6 M ▶ Z 5
After removing all the numbers -
R # T U D $ J @ B E  © W  A F % P  Q I N  M ▶ Z
here 9th from the right end will be F.
Q19. How many such vowels are there in the above arrangement, each of which is immediately preceded by a consonant and immediately followed by a number ?
(Q.18 - 19) Study the following arrangement carefully and answer the questions -
R # T U 3 D $ J @ B E 9 © W 1 A F % P 2 4 Q I N 6 M ▶ Z 5
T U 3 and B E 9
here U and E are two vowels preceded by a consonant and followed by a number.
Q20. Based on the above statements and conclusions, which conclusion logically follows from the statements disregarding commonly known facts?
There are three statements followed by two conclusions
Statements #1  :All forests are villages.
Statements #2  : All villages are trains.
Statements #3  :All trains are buses.

Conclusion Ⅰ  : Some buses are villages.
Conclusion Ⅱ  : Some trains are forests.
According to the statements, all forests are villages. and all villages are trains and all trains are buses. that means some buses are villages and some trains are forests. so both conclusions follow with the statements.
