Azithromycin is a drug in class macrolide antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Mainly used for the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections (URI), sinusitis, STDs, and other mycobacterial diseases. half life of azithromycin is for about 11 to 12 hrs for a single dose.Normal Adult dose of azithromycin is 500 mg once daily for 3 days.
